Growing Patterns Shows Up in Touch
My friend, Hester Bass, alerted me to the fact that Growing Patterns appeared last night on the pilot of a new Fox TV show called Touch. Fibonacci Numbers figure into the plot of the show, and, at one point, the character played by Danny Glover uses our book as he explains the sequence to the Kiefer Sutherland character.
In this trailer on YouTube, a few pages of Growing Patterns appear at about 1:20.
I’m glad Hester caught the reference and I’m now planning to tune in on March 19th.

Oh- that is SOOOOO cool!!!!
e
How cool is that?!! Congrats!
We heard a review of Touch on Terry last week. Now you can say “as seen on TV.”
You may not be a cult hero, but you may become a hero of the occult!
Just watched the trailer with the whole family. Of course, Bryan is a Kiefer fan from our days of watching 24, but I’m a Sarah fan! Will plan to watch. . .
Way cool!
I am proud to say I saw the book used in the scene and immediately recognized it from the times I have seen it at the Faye B. Kaigler Children’s Book Festival & LAMP workshops! I told my husband, “Hey, I am sure that is the book by Sarah Campbell, a MS writer/photographer, who wrote about Fibonacci numbers in nature.” The photography is so distinctive, I knew I was right. What a wonderful promotion for your book. Congratulations!
That’s great, Tamela. I’m amazed that so many people have known immediately it was my book. Thanks.
