Some napkins for me
I’ve been making napkins as gifts for family members and fundraisers, but I never have gotten around to making some for me. Until now.
I’m so eager to use them, I’m thinking about organizing a party. Or, maybe I’ll just put them out for an everyday meal.

Fun! I’ve been making pillow slipcovers lately. Nice to do something quick after doing so many quilts last year!
Should I be able to guess the color of your table cloth? They look very nice ad 16 ought to be enough.
Very nice. I think you should use them at your next family meal and surprise your boys.
They’re so cute! Is there a pattern you’re following or general dimensions? It’s such a great gift idea.
Elizabeth,
I began by using fat quarters, which are 18 inches wide and of varying lengths, typically 22 inches. For these, I cut 17 1/2 inch squares from either fat quarters or other cuts I had in my stash.
I sew them right sides together, trim seams and turn. Then, I topstitch two seams around edge, going for matching thread.
I’m glad you like them. I ended up using them today when a friend came over for lunch.
best,
Sarah
Irene,
Yes, I am partial to quick projects right now. Knitted hats or washcloths and napkins. Gives me a good color fix.
best,
Sarah
