My friend Julie took these photos with my camera during a moms’ night out at her house. We had a fabulous time — knitting, watching a period piece, eating, and gecko tracking. Each of us brought something to share and Julie hosted — since her husband and kids were out of town. It was blissful!
Tabbouleh, hummus, a greek salad, pita bread, watermelon, cantaloupe, and cherries. It was all good. Late in the evening, after it was good and dark, we checked out the front entryway and found our friends the geckos. In these two photos you can see the difference in colors between the one we found on the white paint and the one we found on the brick wall.
We have tomatoes! Actually these are the second decent sized picking. The first batch never made it into the house. Richard was perturbed because he only got to hear about them. I decided to photograph this batch. I am still not happy with my little point-and-shoot, but I guess I can’t expect it to do what my DSLR does. Once again, I have selected a bowl made by N for the display. He’s a cool cat!
Here is an interesting gecko. My friend Julie told me about seeing these at her house; other friends said they have them at their house. I don’t have any at mine. After a brief internet search I am thinking it is a Mediterranean Gecko. Do you have these guys where you live?
Here’s another one. You can tell they are different because of their tails. You may not be able to tell, but these photos were taken after it got dark outside. I couldn’t see well enough to do a manual focus. My automatic focus wouldn’t work until Julie turned on her porch light. These were taken using a flash.
