I am writing from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where I am attending and presenting at the Children’s Book Festival. This is the first time I have appeared in public with Wolfsnail. I had a great group in my session this morning and later I signed a few dozen books. We heard from Kimberly Willis Holt and Will Weaver. I love listening to writers talk about how their books came to be; both were passionate and very open about what makes their hearts beat faster. I feel extraordinarily privileged to be here.
